Today’s audiences can join us when they want, and leave just as quickly. And it isn’t enough to think only of our customers. Our audience is not only the people who buy our products, but the people who watch our videos, read our white papers, follow us on Facebook, visit our online store, check out our website, watch our sales presentations and share our posts.

For this reason it isn’t enough to only focus on job roles and demographics when we segment our audiences. They certainly play a role in sales-driving activities and reaching out to existing customers. But we also need another way to segment – a way that takes into consideration how people feel about us, our industry and our products.  Sentiment analysis lets you know not only how people feel about your brand and products, but also about your industry in general, giving you valuable insights that really make a difference.
